Strategic Questions to ask before starting new Marketing Activities

Strategic Question #1:
a) Have your clearly defined your target market audience?
b) Have you developed a list of characteristics to define a profile of the prospects?
Strategic Question #2:
a) Have you clearly defined what you want to accomplish with your marketing activity?
b) Do you want to generate inquiries, create awareness, provide information, build your image, and/or announce a new service?
Strategic Question #3:
a) Have you clearly defined what you want your target audience to do at the end of your marketing message?
b) Do you want them to call you and at what number, write to you and to what address, go to your website, send an email and/or RSVP to an invitation?
Strategic Question #4:
a) Have you clearly defined the benefits you are offering?
b) Have you answered the target market’s question of “What’s In It For Me?”
Strategic Question #5:
a) Have you provided documented proof of your benefits through testimonials and success stories?
Strategic Question #6:
a) Have you presented compelling reasons why the target audience should respond now, rather than later?
b) Have you told them what will happen if they do not respond immediately?
Strategic Question #7:
a) Have you described your Unique Value Proposition (UVP)?
Strategic Question #8:
a) Have you researched the alternative media to communicate your message?
b) Have you confirmed the strategic media mix to send your message?
Strategic Question #9:
a) Have you developed and defined your marketing budget?
Strategic Question #10:
a) Have you offered any incentives in your marketing efforts?
b) Have you offered a premium, bonus free sample, or some form of introductory savings?
Strategic Question #11:
a) Have you identified the frustration and the obstacles in your marketplace and how you can remove them?

a) Have you offered any guarantee?
